Steps to learn to play the guitar

To get a great sound, you need to know how to hold your guitar. Which finger to use, hand names and signs, and how to position your right and left hand correctly. Check out the basic script we've put together to make your learning experience easier.

Step 1 - The first step is to know how you're going to handle it

There are two ways to hold a guitar, both are correct, although one is used more. The first is called a classical posture, where the guitar will rest on your left leg. The other and recommended is the more popular one, which rests on your right leg.

Step 2 - Finger Names and Signs

This part seems simple, but it is very important that you know where to place your hand and which fingers should hold or touch the strings. Each finger on your left hand corresponds to 1 digit. Starting with the index finger, unlike your right hand, each finger corresponds to the normal name such as "thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger".

Step 3 - Left and Right Hand Position

The steps we teach are for right-handed students, if you are left-handed, don't despair, just replace the names with the other hand. In the case of positioning, your right hand will rest on the mouth of the guitar, as if it were a shell, from the thumb to the little finger. The thumb will be positioned behind the arm, providing support and durability for the execution of the notes of the other fingers. For the execution of the notes, the strings must be tightened with the fingertips, so that it can sound more clearly.
